Query Studio processes the spreadsheet you choose to use it in. The add-on does not send spreadsheet contents to Educational Technology Simplified, an analytics service, an advertiser, or an AI service. Saved configurations and output history are stored in Google Apps Script; generated results are stored in your spreadsheet.
Who provides Query Studio
Query Studio is provided by Educational Technology Simplified. This policy covers the Query Studio Google Sheets add-on, this product website, and support communications. Contact educationaltechsimplified@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.
Information the add-on accesses
When you authorize and use Query Studio, it reads information from the current spreadsheet needed for your chosen operation, including tab names and IDs, column headers, cell values, displayed values, and formatting. It uses that information to preview results, create views, combine or split tabs, summarize records, or match records. A preview can display a sample of source data in the dialog inside your Google Sheets session.
The add-on requests access to the current spreadsheet and permission to display its interface inside Google Sheets. Its code does not request access to Gmail, your Google profile, or unrelated Drive files. Google handles authorization; Query Studio does not ask you to give the developer your Google password.
Where information is processed and stored
- Spreadsheet data and outputs: operations run through Google Sheets and Google Apps Script. Results, formulas, formatting, and output-identification metadata are stored in the spreadsheet, subject to its existing sharing settings.
- Saved settings: Google Apps Script user properties store configurations associated with your use of the add-on and the spreadsheet ID. These can include selected tabs and columns, filter text, matching or grouping options, and output names. Filter text may contain personal information you enter.
- Recent-output history: user properties can include generated tab names and IDs, timestamps, row counts, run status, request identifiers, settings fingerprints, and aggregate diagnostics. This history does not store copies of source rows.
- Temporary processing: source records, lookup indexes, and aggregate values may be held during an operation. Query Studio does not persist source-row copies in a separate developer database.
Google may maintain service and execution records under its own policies. Query Studio’s code does not log spreadsheet contents, and automatic Apps Script exception logging is disabled.
How information is used and shared
Google user data is used to deliver the operation you select and maintain your saved settings and output history. The add-on has no external network requests, advertising, analytics, or AI integration. Educational Technology Simplified does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, profiling, or training AI models. Spreadsheet results remain accessible to the people who can access that spreadsheet.
Query Studio’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This website and support email
This website describes the add-on; it does not connect to your Google account or read your spreadsheets. Its application code contains no analytics, advertising trackers, contact form, or browser storage. Hosting providers may process normal web-request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and secure the website under their own policies.
If you email support, your email address, message, and attachments are received in Gmail. We use them to respond and investigate the issue you report. Support correspondence is kept while needed for the request and related support records; there is no automatic deletion interval. You can request deletion by email. Do not send student records, passwords, or other sensitive information; use redacted or fictional examples.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
You control spreadsheet content and sharing through Google Sheets. Generated tabs remain until you delete them. Saved configurations remain until removed; recent history may also be replaced as newer results are recorded.
To delete your stored add-on settings for a spreadsheet, open A little help & settings → Clear my saved settings in Query Studio. This deletes your saved configurations and recent-output history for that spreadsheet, but does not delete generated tabs. Repeat for each spreadsheet where you used the add-on. Uninstalling alone is not a guarantee that saved settings or output tabs are deleted.
You can uninstall the add-on and revoke its access in your Google account’s third-party access settings. For help with deletion or a privacy request, email educationaltechsimplified@gmail.com. The developer has no separate database of your spreadsheet contents to search or delete.
Security and changes
Query Studio uses Google’s authorization and spreadsheet access controls. Keep access to your spreadsheet and account limited to people you intend to authorize. No software or online service can guarantee absolute security.
If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated with a new effective date. Material changes will be described on this website before the changed practices take effect.
